Grounding Movements In Disability Justice [Webinar]
The webinar “Grounding Movements In Disability Justice” was hosted on April 23, 2020 as an attempt to ground movements in Disability Justice and build solidarity between us. It featured Azza Altiraifi, Cyree Jarelle Johnson, Dorian Taylor, Dustin Gibson, Talila A. Lewis, and Nirmala Erevelles. All of whom work at the nexus of class, race, and disability, either on-the-ground or contributing in other ways. It was a self-funded/organized effort without the support of any institutions. HEARD & Talila A. Lewis contributed to the coordination of access and funding of the platform + a portion of the interpreting/captioning services. Dana Bishop-Root also assisted in the chat moderation of the webinar. The artwork for the flyer was adapted from a piece created by General Sisters. This webinar is a part of a series that will continue on Friday, May 8th at 7:00 PM EST. Register at bit.ly/djgrounding.
